Hannibal Electronics Recycling Event Returns October 3
HANNIBAL, Missouri — The City of Hannibal and Tech Remove, LLC are bringing community electronics recycling back to Hannibal on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 301 Warren Barrett Drive, Hannibal, MO 63401.
The event is open to Hannibal residents and residents of surrounding communities, providing households throughout the area with a convenient opportunity to responsibly recycle unwanted electronics. The City has confirmed the October event will return to the same location and schedule, with no changes from the April collection. The October collection follows the community’s April 4 electronics recycling event and gives residents another opportunity to clear unwanted electronics from homes, offices, closets, basements and garages. Tech Remove will provide the trucks, collection equipment, staffing, transportation and recycling logistics necessary to collect and process electronics brought to the event.
Have an Old Desktop, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone? Bring It!
Residents are especially encouraged to look through homes, offices, closets and drawers for unused:
Desktop computers
Laptop computers
Tablets
Smartphones and other cell phones
These devices are frequently stored for years after they are no longer being used. The October 3 collection provides an opportunity to responsibly recycle them while recovering reusable materials and helping keep electronic waste out of the local waste stream.
Tech Remove will also collect a wide variety of household and office electronics, including monitors; gaming devices and consoles; hard drives and other data-bearing devices; keyboards and computer accessories; audio equipment and speakers; servers, modems and routers; cameras and photography equipment; printers and copiers; power tools; cables, power cords and power supplies; small appliances; and other qualifying electronics with a cord or battery.
The April Hannibal collection accepted a broad range of electronics and equipment, including computers, printers, laptops, hard drives, cell phones, radios, DVD players, stereos, microwaves, power tools and more. Data-bearing electronics collected by Tech Remove will be processed through secure recycling procedures designed to help protect participant privacy while recovering reusable materials.

Most qualifying electronics can be dropped off without charge. The following fees apply to certain display devices:
CRT monitors — $5
